Dunbar's Weekly is a blog created with the intent to foster an online invironment of discussion in which people would feel unrestricted to voice their opinions about many of the issues that affect our lives -- issues that a great majority of people think they are helpless to change.As long as we stand firm and continue to fight, no situation is hopeless. And stand we must, for if we do not find a way to fight for what we believe in -- family values, unity, community awareness and civil rights, we will always be at the mercy of those who wish to take advantage of any given situation for the sake of monetary profit.
I believe the issues that matter most is when we should speak the loudest. Issues like the crises in Washington, where elected officials speak loudly about change, but are too busy fighting each other to do anything to make change a reality. The very people we appointed to speak in our behalf deceive us into believing they have our best interests at heart when all they really care about is their own selfish gain.
